35 Miles

This short video was made driving into work on Route 95 south from Providence. I shot this with a Nikon D300 at one frame per second.  The original file is wicked awesome resolution - higher definition than HiDef. I did another one on the way home and it can be found at here at YouTube.

Evening at Shirley's

A wonderful evening with friends. After several attempts of making popcorn, hanging about a thousand pictures and getting a nice fire burning in the fireplace, we settled down to a brilliant and delicious dinner of lamb stew and fresh salad with homemade dressing. Mmmmmmmmm - Thanks Shirley and Jeff.  We are all hoping the birds lived through the popcorn episode.  View the scene here. You can also take a look at Shirley's new digs in Little Compton, here.

Great Animation/live action video

It has been a while since I posted a motion graphic video.  I came across this one and was blown away.  Great message told well.  A very good use of 2D and 3D mixed with live action.  The message is in French or Flemish but is says we should all consider nuclear energy...  View the original HERE . . . an English version in low rez is here.

Dean Martineau Art Show, Providence

My good friend Dean Martineau had his first art show this weekend at the Three Sisters parlor on Providence's historic East Side. Dean's bares his heart and shows his love and concerns forhis  country and his family in these very original works. It was a real pleasure to be able to attend the opening.  View the opening here.

Safari Lounge

We had guests at work a couple of days ago and had a themed luncheon for them. Erik Foss designed the table setting in our conference room and created a wonderful and exotic menu for our guests.  You can view the table here.

Industrial Moonscape

I had the opportunity recently to visit this stone, sand and gravel quarry and it seemed very remote and foreign, almost like a moonscape with mechanical bits. I snapped this image.

Rehoboth Village Pond

It was such a great day today that I thought I would take a ride out to Rehoboth, Massachusetts and take a shot or two of the village. Just on the other side of this pond is the church I was married in nearly 40 years ago. We lived here in Rehoboth for 27 years before going cruising, but thats another story.  Hope you enjoy this image of the Spring thaw here at the village pond.
